Great job!! I will say, I’m not sure I understand the micro dosing. Why taking less than the lowest dose? I’d like to see data on if that works for people in maintenance. If I lower my dose in maintenance, after a few months I’ll start seeing inflammation. The same happens when I stretch my dose out. So basically, I lower my dose for a few weeks then raise it for a few weeks and repeat.
Because some people are super sensitive and don't need a full dose. Also in maintenance a micro dose may work just fine. Other people may micro-dose for other benefits such as inflammation vs weight loss.
I thought it was pretty common to lose weight faster at the beginning when you are heavier, gradually slowing down as you get smaller. I’d put all of that process in the category of “regular”.
Along those same lines, it also matters how short you are - “regular” for someone who’s 5 foot is gonna be a “slower” weight loss than “regular” for someone who’s 6 foot.
Having a shared language is so important. The more granular and specific we can be with our understanding, the better we can help each other.
Hopefully pharma and medicine are paying attention to this giant Petrie dish - they can learn a lot!
Right?? The labels have me more confused now! I started my first four weeks on Zepbound with a nice 18 lb loss. That would have me as a super responder. In the following, 30 weeks I’ve lost 42 more lbs. Some of those weeks I lost zero pounds and have only lost a little under five pounds the last 30 days. Or a slow responder. Hmmm. Are we averaging total weight loss per week or actual weight loss EVERY week?
Do I dose up to lose the 1-3 lbs??? I thought I was doing fine on 7.5mg the past nine weeks without crazy side effects and having some weight come off each week?!?!?
I need another video. 😆Going to watch the videos Dave tagged with Dr. Rosen now…
I always figure if I’m averaging 1-2 pounds a week I’m ok. I track daily but trend monthly. I never did lose at a really fast rate but I’m a shortie. And I “feel” like I’m very sensitive to the meds but who knows. Maybe I’m just normal sensitive. The body is a mystery 🤣
I look at Slow Responder and Slow Loser as 2 different things. I was a fast responder. Right now I am a slow loser, but I lost quickly up front because I had more to lose. You can fully respond but lose slower (especially menopausal women). 1 pound a week can be healthy and good for you and that doesn't mean you are responding slow you are just losing slower. We can control our pace of weight loss too, not everyone wants to lose fast. I can choose not to go up as fast in dose and lose at a slower rate if I want that has nothing to do with how I am responding to the meds.
Much needed information! Thank you! 😊
Stretching the interval is what I'm doing to help the sting of paying out of pocket!

Splitting dose is what I’m doing to avoid bad side effects and keep my levels even.

I am at 2.5mg zepbound and getting great pain relief from arthritis. Do people get their CRP checked? If so how often?
I am so happy to have this knowledge you have no idea! Thank you so so much Dave!
