I’m lucky, and stopped liking soda after I started Mounjaro. I just love my water and unsweet tea.

Unsweet tea is sooo good. I live in the south and they push sweet tea so hard but I never scared for it. As I grew up I realized it didn’t have to have sugar and stopped drinking it that way. I’ve noe gotten into loose leaf teas of all kind. Yerba Mate is a natural way to increase GLP-1 too.

This article doesn’t surprise me, but for a person like myself that has never been one to drink a lot of anything. After going on Mounjaro I knew I had to push more liquid. I knew sodas of any kind were not the answer, because I could go all day drinking one soda or anything. I finally found a drink flavor that has gotten me to drinking more fluids a day, but this encourages me to push further to try to drinking more water🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

There are sweetener free carbonated waters. I’m sure that wasn’t part of the trials, so not sure if it’s as good as plain water. However, it’s a good stepping stone to move to between sodas and just water if people need help getting off them.

Really hard to argue the results!! Water is better!

Ok - wow. So was it the artificial sweetener? Any sweetener? What if you put lemon in plain water? What about sugar free electrolyte packets and stuff like Crystal Lite? Was the carbonation a factor? I have no many questions, but obviously the safest answer is just to drink plain, flat water. Personally, I am ok with that. I can adjust to that reality. But it is going to be very confronting for many, and be opposed by a very profitable and powerful industry. Thanks for keeping us informed.

I’d say it definitely covers crystal lite. I’m not sure it tested all sodas with different sweeteners but it’s been known a long time that Aspartame is the worst which most diet sodas and a lot of drink flavors have. Lemon juice doesn’t have artificial sweeteners and it’s not going to impact much if added to water. More and more I’m seeing that the only sweetener that not only doesn’t appear impact insulin but slightly stimulates GLP1 naturally is Allulose. Companies don’t use that in calorie free sodas though. So, it’s not likely to have been in those trails.
