A doctor, speaking on the condition of anonymity with On The Pen, recently received a letter that should send a chill down the spine of every patient and provider in this country.
Dave, sent you an email directly. I have gone through this horror story with countless clients and understand how to onboard GLP-1 along with other peptide treatments and HRT treatments where the processor and bank know 100% of the services and there are no issues whatsoever. It is my complete focus daily and would love to dig into the details about it with you so that we can help your subscribers know this doesn't have to be the way.
As a provider this is infuriating! Insurance companies already dictate the way we treat patients and now this? Might as well have a trained monkey giving out medical advice. No respect for us as providers.
Stefan, that can backfire and end up with you being on MATCH list (visa/MC credit card jail for 5 years). There are ways to do this without doing anything shady, but lying to the banks/processors is extremely frowned upon and could end your business's ability to take any credit card payments for 5 full years...all to continue to work with a company who doesn't want to work with your business.
So, this is a real problem with a majority of EHR companies and making relationships with companies that don't understand how to handle GLP-1's along with Peptide therapy, HRT and functional medicine. I specialize in working with NP Entrepeneur's in providing first off Stability along with personalized support and savings in the Payments industry. My company is The Payment Doctor. I would be happy to dive into details with anyone, there is a scheduling link on my website, and you can book a free consultation, and we can dive into your process, offerings and risk exposure etc.
Thanks, and hopefully I can continue to help more NP clinic owners with stability, sanity and less stress by eliminating the nightmares of payment processing.
This is another case of follow the money! This is not right and all those doctors should form together and sue the insurance industry needs to be put on alert. This is ridiculous and should not be allowed to happen nowadays. How can they dictate? It's like I said all about the money all about the money!
This is deeply concerning. The idea that a doctor’s ability to prescribe legal, patient-specific treatments could be undermined through financial coercion. This I another layer of recklessness to the situation, disregarding decades of precedent that protects individualized care.
This raises critical questions about who is driving this push and what the broader implications could be. Whether it’s regulatory pressure exerted behind the scenes or pharmaceutical giants leveraging their influence to eliminate competition, the end result is the same: patients and providers are losing autonomy in their medical decisions.
I hope this is worth it for Lilly and Novo in the end.
Wow. If they would lower the prices on direct dispensing to patients, all this could be solved.
Absolutely shameful!! Praying for our doctors who are also fighting for us!
This is truly frightening and just feels malevolent!
It would be interesting to know the name of the EHR and payment processor being used.
If we can get more to come forward who have received it, we will likely release that info.

Helpful to know which EHR system which would hopefully protect this providers anonymity and give warning to those using that system.
Gotta disguise the invoices
