A Simple Truth, Science Shows that Your Weight Struggle is Not Your Fault
Of all the content I have ever made, this is the one to share with a world that lacks understanding
It Was Never Just the Food
We were told it was about discipline.
About saying no. About trying harder. About finally getting it together.
But what if I told you the fight was rigged?
What if I told you that what’s been living inside your gut, what’s been unraveling your appetite, your blood sugar, your sense of control, isn’t weakness or laziness or some moral failing, but something far more insidious and far more human?
You didn’t fail. Your body was put under strain it was never meant to carry. Its signals have been scrambled, not because you're weak, but because you were up against broken systems, inside and out.
I made the video below because I’m done watching people drown in shame over a disease that isn’t their fault.
I made it for the woman who hasn’t wanted to look in a mirror or at a scale for years.
For the men like me who quietly skip lunch to make up for dinner.
For the mother sobbing in her car after another doctor blamed all her issues on her “choice” to be overweight.
Contrary to what has been preached at us for decades, this struggle has never been about willpower alone. It’s also been about hormones. It’s about the gut. It’s about GLP-1 and DPP4 and the invisible chemical warfare being waged inside us while we carry the blame.
When I founded On The Pen, it wasn’t just to explain the science. It was to fight for people who’ve been silenced and shamed. It was to give language to what so many of us have felt in our bones, that something is off, and nobody’s listening.
But we’re listening now.
We’re speaking now.
We’re healing, together.
So please, watch and share the video. Not because I made it. But because there’s someone in your life who needs to know, you were never the problem.
GLP-1 medications like Ozempic, Mounjaro, and Zepbound aren’t cheats. They’re lifelines. They’re giving people their lives back by correcting the actual imbalance, by giving our bodies the tools they should’ve had all along.
And maybe you’ve felt it. The hunger that never stops. The satitation that never shows up. The food noise that never quiets down. The shame that trails you through every aisle of the grocery store.
You're not alone.
Obesity isn’t simple. It isn’t solved with platitudes. But it is understandable. It is treatable. And the more we talk about it, the more we share what’s real, the more power we take back from a system that tried to blame us for its silence.
Share this with someone you love.
Someone who’s been judged.
Someone who’s been hurt.
Someone who deserves to know it was never their fault.
We’re not just changing the narrative.
We’re writing a new one.
And it begins On The Pen.
Thank you.☺️
